What’s up! If you read my last post celebrating 4 years of the blog, you might have noticed all my great intentions for 2019 and how much more I wanted to put out. That was almost 3 months ago and this is my first post since.
Don’t get me wrong, I feel like I’ve written loads since then. I’ve half written a post about a weekend I spent in Poland, half written reviews for a few concerts I’ve been to and half written a few ramble posts. Half written. I feel like I get to the halfway point and realise that I’m writing trash.
It mightn’t even be that bad, I’m probably being dramatic but I feel like I’m stuck in this hole of writer’s block. Even when I’m literally trying to write about how class a concert was or something, I just hate everything I type.
I’ve decided that the only way to pull myself out of the hole is to embrace the trash and post anyway. I’ll probably post my Poland piece eventually because it was actually a class weekend. I don’t think I’ll bother with the concerts, they were also class but all the highlights are on my Instagram.
I’ve been somewhat active over on my Facebook page. I’m slowly getting back into making videos in the form of extremely short and extremely dumb clips. It’s probably my favourite type of video to make. No editing and takes seconds to upload.
On a more personal level, I’m back in the gym after a short (7 month) hiatus. I’m at the point where I’m starting to see small results which is pretty sweet. I’ve gotten back on my discipline bullshit and do at least two 5:30am sessions a week along with a long session on Saturdays. It feels fucking fantastic.
I want to show my journey on my platforms to break up the timeline from your typical fitness guru’s who post the most unrealistic gym selfies. Not a red face or bead of sweat to be seen. I’ve decided to lead the movement of showcasing the average Joe sweating balls until the extra chin is gone and the man titties go down a few cup sizes. #FitFam
As for the future, I’m heading to Thailand for a few days in 2 weeks with work (I literally have the best job in the world), I’m heading to Malta for a week in August and I’m planning on booking a week in New York in October soon. I also have a few concerts and festivals thrown into the mix too (obviously).
Life’s pretty good at the moment. Literally the only part I need to get sorted is my creative brain. And once I do, it’s game over. Enlightenment will be reached.
Until Next Time,
